Wesak: Sunday 11th May The annual celebration of the birth, enlightenment and passing away of the Buddha falls on the full moon of May, which this year is conveniently a Sunday. We begin with a rice pindapat (alms round) and a shared meal, with a ceremony in the afternoon of paritta chanting, Dhamma talk and circumambulation of the stupa (weather permitting). All are welcome. Aim to arrive before 11am for an 11.15-11.30am start.
Meditation Workshops are held every few weeks on a Saturday afternoon and are open for both new and experienced meditators. The workshop runs from 1.30pm-4.30pm. There is no need to book. The next workshops will be on: Saturday 3rd May Saturday 24th May Saturday 14th June.
Every week there is Sunday evening puja at 7pm. Chanting, 40 minutes of meditation, and then followed by a Dhamma talk or Q&A. This is open to all but is not intended for beginners.
Visitors are welcome during the day. It is possible to make offerings, preferably in the morning before the meal time (11.00am when on GMT, 11.30am when on BST), or by arrangement at other times. You can phone or use the contact form to be in touch with us prior to coming.
