Asalha Puja Festival - Saturday 20th July The annual festival to celebrate the first teaching of the Buddha. Asalha puja also marks the start of the three month "Rains" retreat which begins the following day. We will start at 11am with Refuges and Precepts and Paritta chanting, followed by a rice pindapat (alms offering) and meal. In the early afternoon there will be a Dhamma talk and circumambulation of the Stupa. All welcome.
Meditation Workshops are held every few weeks on a Saturday afternoon and are open for both new and experienced meditators. The workshop runs from 1.30pm-4.30pm. There is no need to book. The next workshops will be on: Saturday 22nd June Saturday 13th July Saturday 3rd August
Every week there is Sunday evening puja at 7pm. Chanting, 40 minutes of meditation, and then followed by a Dhamma talk. This is open to all but is not intended for beginners.
Visitors are welcome during the day. It is possible to make offerings, preferably in the morning before the meal time (11.00am when on GMT, 11.30am when on BST), or by arrangement at other times. You can phone or use the contact form to be in touch with us prior to coming.
